The second installment of my 'Built From Scratch' studio mix series. As the name implies, this is a full on scratch session over a mix of quality Hip-Hop, Funk, Breaks, Nu-Funk & Beats. The mix was crafted using 2 Vestax PDX2000 turntables, Rane TTM56 mixer, Serato & Abelton Live.

The mix was put together over a 4 week period, using Ableton Live as a multi-track recorder, recording live audio from the turntables.

Dialog from various Hip-Hop documentaries features heavily in the mix, sourced from DVDs and YouTube, cut and scratched into the mix using Serato. Also, be on the lookout for some of the mash-ups and bootleg mixes that came about as a result of this mammoth session!
