2018 was another memorable year for music globally. Music streaming services reached new heights, and it was officially the "Year of Drake" as he set the bar for all artists with a total of 8.2 billion streams on Spotify alone, and became the platform's most streamed artist of all-time. Drake also held the #1 spot on Billboard for a total of 28 out of 52 weeks with "God's Plan", "Nice For What" and "In My Feelings" each landing #1s on the Billboard Hot 100.
But it wasn't just Drake who made an impact, Post Malone was runner-up for most streamed male artist, while Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Cardi B and Taylor Swift all notched their spots as most streamed female artists. And club DJs and producers continued to make their mark with Tiesto and Dzeko's Collab with Post Malone and Preme became a worldwide smash, and Canada's Loud Luxury had the anthem of the summer with "Body".
