Distracted (Relentlessly Touched Vocal)

As I get older it gets harder and harder to say goodbye to the influences that shaped me as a DJ and voaclist. It really sadden me to hear that Al Jarreau had suddenly announced that he was cancelling his tour and retiring....only to hear a couple of days later that he had died. I started DJ-ing with my Uncle Herb back in 1980 at WMNF 88.5 (Tampa, Florida). He introduced me to a lot of Jazz vocalists. "Distracted" was one of the main hits on his radio show. So, I decided to pay my respects by attempting to even out this classic, add a beat and speed it up to about 108 BPM.
