N/A

Attleboro, United States

I am N/A (previously DJ Not Applicable), a DJ/Producer from MA. I get a lot of old school tracks to represent the soul of myself through music. I have a strong influence from 90's and 00's hop hop. I also get inspiration from movie quotes and vocal samples that help define the purpose of my tracks.

I have suffered with schizoaffective disorder for over 20 years. When I DJ or produce music it gives me a chance to throw my voice via my work into the void that is the digital based dance music (DBDM) scene. I cannot deal with a lot of networking in person and trying to get gigs within the club politics and circuit in my area.

My interaction with the world is limited due to my mental illness and introversion. This requires me to work from my home studio. I play a lot of online radio shows and a podcast. This allows me to not only to have complete creative control over my musical selection, but also allows me to play live all the time. I am constantly evolving with every show.

As I continue as an artist and craft a true sense of purpose through my work, I hope I can show those who are suffering with mental illness that there is a way to live without such a strangle hold of pain on life.

I do not make music to make money or get famous. I do have tracks for sale, but I do not expect to make a viable source of income. I have a small following and try not to be caught up in a constant comparison with others in my field. It is difficult with my mental state, but I do make the attempt.
