DJ Mike Pope

Atlanta, United States

DJ Bio: Club DJ Mike Pope has called Atlanta, Georgia his home since 1997. Having had a deep appreciation of electronic music dating back to the early 90’s, Pope's DJ career began in the 2004 after turning his music video producing background to dance music DJ. His passion and perseverance to be a part of the Atlanta nightlife scene took off after getting a shot to play at Primal Nightclub (formerly WETbar) with special guest RuPaul.

Over the last decade, Pope has DJ’d with international DJ’s including Tony Moran, Tracy Young, Johnny Vicious and Chris Cox. He has also headlined packed dance floors in almost every nightclub and bar in Atlanta and held residencies at several. Pope is currently the resident at the longest standing gay dance club in Atlanta, The Heretic (www.hereticatlanta.com), where he has been serving up his high-energy sets for the last 7 years.

His involvement with local non-profits and charitable organizations was a high priority from the beginning of his career. In 2008 Pope started spinning parties for Joining Hearts, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that holds some of the largest fundraisers and circuit parties in the Southeast.
Out of town bookings included nightclubs in Miami , Charlotte, Birmingham, AL, and Gay Days Orlando in 2010. He was invited to be Georgia's only Billboard Music Reporter for the Dance Club Chart and held that title for 5 years.

It is no wonder that DJ Mike Pope has gathered a large fan base and has secured himself as premier DJ and crowd favorite. Pope describes his style as a fusion of peak hour and Top 40 hits.
