This mix was recorded using the classic Intimidation Blue mix board and as a result, the recording itself is mono rather than stereo. Other than stereolizing the mix using some tools - the mix is untouched and is as it was recorded and performed.

The Intimidation Blue mix board is rather unique. While some might feel that having the channels summed to mono rather than kept stereo is a limitation - it's designer felt that the board would be used mostly at mid to large scale rave events and clubs where most systems are actually running in mono in the first place to maximize sound pressure and efficiently use amplifiers. By putting the board into this configuration certain things like kill switches made more sense and actually worked. The kill switches themselves on the Blue are split between bass, mids and tops (treble) and can be engaged or disengaged without any noticeable "click", which was a problem for competitors who ripped off the design. For DJs, it was just fun to play on.
