I played the opening 2h before the main room opened at midnight. The set went down really well, got loads of props from people afterwards! Glad I kicked off everyone's party on the right foot! No better result for a dj...

Haven't listened yet, so dunno how onnit my mixing was. Probably made a couple of errors when Rob Voodoo was doing some VOs (not on the recording - I record direct from software and the mic was plugged into the mixer), and I definitely missed one cue when I was dancing away to a tune and lost track of what I was doing! Music was too good not to dance like a loon though ^_^]]>

Wow. Nearly called this mix 'Overcoming Adversity' there were so many problems. Would have preferred my Planet Angel début to be a bit smoother, with a much more perfect mix, but I guess I showed what I'm made of! Accidentally left half my music in Hendon (with my headphones!), so had to make up a set as I went along with the music I had on my laptop. On that note, big thanks to Ruth and Jade for driving back and picking it up for me - it meant the second half of my set was mostly unchanged. I think I held it together well, couple of fluffs, but I didn't have a complete meltdown! Was glad of that as I would have hated to let down Planet Angel and all the beautiful people who came to listen to bangin' music!

Forgive the poor-quality recording; missing channel (now mono) and distorts a little - in the rush/panic I didn't plug the phono lead in properly. Uploading anyway as I'm proud of my début!]]>

BTW - there is a mix where it can sound like there is no sound for several second; there is actually a very low bass-rumble that I could hear on my monitors/bass-bin but have not heard on other sound systems. At a rave it'd probably be brown-noise ^_^]]>
