About M-Tric:

I played the drums for 8 years, played in an orchestra and, incidentally, in a music school for music theory and drum lessons.

After some time, my music style has changed.

From the day I found a lot of electronic music of all kinds of techno, hard techno, drum and bass, tekno, goa, experimental, deep house and much more.

At some point I happened to hear a mix with Ambient and DubTechno.

I listened excitedly and felt something very special. I felt a very special feeling in me that tells me that I have to break new ground with my musical talent.

I bought all the equipment I needed and exactly 1 year later I had my first appearance as "M-Tric" in the DubTechno Mixshow "ReactorRoom".

And now, I am part of a huge project to make people sound good music and to make them feel where they have arrived.

After the guys met in 2012 completely by accident, they instantly discovered the mutual affection they share towards the deep sounds of dub and techno music.
From 2013 and onwards they started meeting up for recordings sessions a few times per year in both Copenhagen and Belgrade.
Their ethos is to do everything together in person, without sending stems via internet, and more than 1600 km of distance was not exactly a helpful fact.
But with each new session the workflow became ever more natural and effortless, and the album started slowly coming together.

By using nothing but analog synthesizers and effects as sound sources, Float & Rutz tried to achieve the raw and organic deep and dubby techno sound they both fell in love with. This album is like a tale of two cities, a unification of north and south, it containts field recordings recorded in both cities and
on the road between them, and that very fact gives the whole album a very special and personal storytelling feel to it.

To kick things off, we are launching our first release (dtbeat001) today and are very proud that we were able to gain Vital for this release.

Music has and will always be the driving passion in life for Vital. Driven by a desire to create his own sounds, he began immersing himself in digital audio workstation Ableton in 2005 and a few years later started attending Berkeley’s College of Music.

A taste for eclectic, feel-good emotive sounds paired with a desire to constantly create kept him quite busy within the electronic music community. Soon he would find himself releasing tunes on multiple labels such as Harmonious Discord, Rotation Deep UK, 3345 Music, Fokuz, Connessione and eventually his own Atrium Digital Recordings.

Vital has proven he is not bound to any one sound by cranking out tunes across multiple genres with no signs of slowing down.

“Signs of Life” contains two excellent examples of the future direction of our new subcatalog, presenting wonderful arrangements and beats - combining organic atmospheres and rhythmic creativity. ]]>

LUIJO BiOGRAPHY

Luis José Del Castillo Rivera, Luijo, is a DJ based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, that has been delivering less commercial forms of house and techno since 2002. He focuses on quality and sophistication. His sound is described as arcane, eclectic and involving. His mixes are best known for being masterful and storytelling. His powerful delivery of rare and elegant music is his well-known signature. Luijo is the mayor Deep Techno, Dub Techno, and Progressive House forerunner in his country. Currently, he performs worldwide.

Luijo’s music is mostly inspired by nature. For him, music is the perfect linkage between the listener and his environments. He constructs a unique atmosphere that can be the perfect start off, as well as the peak time outbreak, envisioning a flawless combination between a core full of crispy and dubby sounds and smooth minimal touches around the edges.

Luijo passed through various styles of music since an early age, such as Classical, Jazz, Baroque, Rock and Heavy Metal, receiving guitar lessons accordingly. For several years, he studied music composition and gained acceptance to the National Conservatory of Music.

It was at the age of 14 when everything took another path. For the first time he heard two of the most influential albums in his career: John Digweed’s MMII and Danny Howell’s GU: 24/7. The sexy-dark tunes automatically captivated his attention, and the next day he was already managing to have a better understanding of a DJ’s significance. Collecting records, crate digging and learning about computer-based music became his major hobby. He soon proceeded to learn how to use vinyl, all in the same year. His record collection now holds more than a thousand vinyls, from house and techno to classical and piano solo.

Soon after, he had his first attempts of exposing his DJ abilities in friends’ parties from time to time, gaining recognition as time passed. Later on he started to play in most venues, expanding his DJ capabilities and gaining experience on how to handle larger crowds. In the years 2003-2004 he collaborated as a volunteer with 97.5 FM Radio “Sonido Tribal” which earlier evolved as Visionario Radio Show, with guest mixes featuring underground house and techno.

He became widely popular with online radio performance. Since 2006, his mixes have spread across Germany, Australia, United States, Argentina, Canada, France, Poland, Japan, Colombia, Russia, England, Spain, Lithuania and Italy.

He has collaborated with several groups: Arcticgrooves, a non profit project that remains advertising free, by broadcasting sets online as well as live shows, Robotmusik, an international underground DJ collective and booking agency, Fuzion Mix Radio, Buenos Aires, an Argentinian based underground electronic music radio station, Modulate FM, London, another underground electronic music radio station, Sub.Spiele Records, a deep house, deep techno, and dub techno label from Cologne – Germany, Dewtone Recordings, Canada, another deep and dub techno label that features artists from all around the globe, Deep Mix Bucharest in Romania, a radio station that features carefully selected DJ sets around Europe, and Mixcult, a radio show from Saint Petersburg, Russia, that holds the best deep, dub and minimal techno sets combined with vintage visuals, by the most renowned Russian DJs.

His constant study of electronic music is always on progress, and so his search for deeper and more involving sounds that link emotions and nature’s beauty.

fabian schinzel (“XEED”) was born in 1987 in the lovely zurich highlands in switzerland.
already at the tender age of 6 he had his initial contact with electronic dance music, after which he eagerly sampled the few then existing radio and tv stations that broadcasted that kind of music, and recorded many hours into an impressive tape collection, which was soon augmented by more and more cds as they became available. nowadays, thanks to the internet, getting his daily dose of new techno became much easier.

the turn of the millenium also set a new personal milestone for XEED: he got his first proper mixer, and starting out with 2 portable cd players he made his first experiences as a dj. even though the equipment was simple initially, he worked hard at creating smooth flowing and authentic sets, training his ears for matching rhythm and melody, thereby building the foundation for his current skills for beat matching and set structuring.

with the acquisition of turntables at the end of 2002 things started to accelerate into the right direction. starting out with trance, XEED worked with several different musical styles, building up an impressive collection of about a thousand vinyl records. today, he primarily favors music with a deep and dubby groove.
2004 XEED went from being a bedroom dj to perform in front of small and big crowds. With his always carefully updated record case, he ensures the audience a good time, who appreciate his rhythmic and dynamic tunes, fluently arranged into vivid sets. openairs in the woods or in the fields, parties in bunkers, cellars, bars or clubs, XEED always emphasizes quality and depth.

About ColtEP:

ColtEP is a creative head who was inspired by the style of the London underground techno in the 1990s.
Since 2004 she´s living in Berlin and started Djing.
Actually she loves playing in Berlin´s bars the deep dubtechno, deep house and dubstep sound.

She very likes the concept of netlabels and so she began to create the special “[NLM...] Netlabel-Mix”podcasts. You can listen to it on her mixcloud

In May 2012 it was the time for creating a new podcast-serie,
called s p i e l : f e l d. Every 2 weeks ColtEP invites Djs and artists for a personal mix. The concept is that she started the mix with two tracks and the other one continues, so it developes a little coorporation.

About ColtEP:

ColtEP is a creative head who was inspired by the style of the London underground techno in the 1990s.
Since 2004 she´s living in Berlin and started Djing.
Actually she loves playing in Berlin´s bars the deep dubtechno, deep house and dubstep sound.

She very likes the concept of netlabels and so she began to create the special “[NLM...] Netlabel-Mix”podcasts. You can listen to it on her mixcloud

For a better communication between netlabels and their listeners ColtEP opens the facebook-group: I ♥ NETLABELS . Feel free to join this group and discover the netlabel-scene.

In May 2012 it was the time for creating a new podcast-serie,
called s p i e l : f e l d. Every 2 weeks ColtEP invites Djs and artists for a personal mix. The concept is that she started the mix with two tracks and the other one continues, so it developes a little coorporation.
