DJ Pants pres. the8thchild - Parts of the Sum [2013] original

In spite of my background in house and garage, i have a not-so-secret (but still somewhat unrecognized) love of deep progressive house, especially the darker, moodier stuff. This is a fully-planned studio mix showcasing some of my favorite tracks in this genre. The title derives from the idea that, unlike other mixes where the tracks are part of a larger journey (the sum greater than the parts), this is meant to be the opposite... it's not so much about the complete mix as it is about the individual tracks (which, when listened to in full, are complete journeys in and of themselves). That being said, i put a HUGE amount of effort into how each individual track is mixed into the next... and i'm confident it shows. If i'm not paying full attention, even I forget where some mixes begin and end x) In any case... turn down the lights, spark one up, get under the covers, turn up your system, and enjoy =)
