David Dewey - Contact 2013 - Space Ride from the Forest to the City

This is a tale of an adventure that started in the woods then took everyone for a ride.

It all started with this hillbilly that wrecked his truck while reaching for beer. One drunken forest ditch later and some down home fun with the authority, the train's horn beckoned us to the bridge. Only hours later we discovered under this very bridge, an odd tribe garbed in beads and had already enveloped the land. They were listening to very strange music.....alas! The echos of skids and claps whispered our way and guided us to a not-so-incognito skate park nestled under a viaduct.

And then the KV2's sang with joy and the lights and lasers blasted their colors until invisible under the early morning light! And the dancers laughed and played and danced the night away.

In our presence were the champions of food. They claimed they were from the land of Portland but I believe food that tasted so good could have only one explanation......aliens. Aliens must have come in the middle of the night and bestowed upon them the ancient knowledge of pork tacos and quinoa wraps with home made salsa. I hope one day I will cross paths again with those champions of food.

And they lived happily ever after
