This month we have a guest mix from Kev Willis.

Techno DJ/Producer Stoke on Trent, I started to DJ and Music Production when I was a youth. In 2004 to 2009 I presented my own shows with TECHNO.FM a online radio station based in Canada. My shows were monthly, as time passed my shows were becoming more popular with listeners all around the world and the station hosts. This gave me better opportunities for me to develop as a DJ and more shows to feature on the station at TECHNO.FM Eventually due to funding new music for my shows I decided to part from the station. The hosts were really appreciated for what I did with my shows and gave me the best of luck for any future developments I evolved in DJing with. All of this experience in DJing it gave me more confidence and networking with other DJs from other shows, always receiving great feedback by them.

DJ Podcasts have featured with: FNOOB TECHNO RADIO and FUTUREMUSIC FM. DJ'd for local events: LOAD / GHETTOBLASTER / WAVEFORM RIOT / SUBTERRANEO / METRO CASA / HERITAGE / HABIT / SHELLEY'S 25TH ANNIVERSARY / out of Stoke: CODE LEEDS / SENTEMENT BIRMINGHAM / ALMOST Events in Stoke on Trent. In my producing career I have gained successful releases with these labels and received great support from DJs all around the world: AUDIOEXIT / AUDIOTEXTURES / UTCH / HOME / WE CALL IT HARD / SWITCH OFF / URBAN KICKZ / ELECTRIC PULSE / CORRUPTED SYSTEMS / BIOTECH / VINYLLOVERS / FNOOB DIGITAL / FILTH INFATUATED / EMPEROR / I have a couple of compilation releases with DEAD GROOVY MUSIC & JAMBALAY records for memory of DJ AMAR https://5mag.net/tracks/listenup/techno-war-tribute-dj-amar/ with both releases featuring a great selection of artists:

My Innovate Shows now run on Cosmos.de Radio Every Tuesday after the 2th November 2019

Born in Zaragoza (Spain) he came in touch with electronic music through his sister for the very first time. It all started with Hard House, Hard Core and Hard Style. After years of listening to these kinds of beats he was trying to find something different in the “electronic music".

Thanks to an international Club called Florida135 (2006-2011) he had the possibility to experience some of the classic DJs from Detroit, like e.g. Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin or Derrick May. Their sounds were a little softer and different but caught his attention, too. On this period also thanks to his friend Pablo from the same district in Zaragoza, who loves Techno too, he started playing tracks and got his first technical understandings on how Djing works. At this time he never thought about Djing (at least in public) but he realized how much fun it was and how creative you can be. Over time he developed a sense of good sound and track selection.

Although Berlin was his first choice he decided to move to Munich in 2011 (unexpected things happen often). After one year working and fighting with the language he randomly met Gonzalo at a Techno party. They immediately got on like brothers and soon started to get to know other great people working in Munich’s “night scene”. During this (short) period of time they noticed that there weren’t enough Techno parties in the city. However, the famous Zenker Brothers and their label Ilian Tape slowly started to get more and more good Techno Djs to Munich and organized parties offering great quality music, something totally different what the city hasn´t heard before.

In 2012 he founded the collective "Spassverbot" (Spvbt) with some friends trying to offer more Techno parties starting with off-locations in and around Munich. Because differences on the way of thinking, on how to see the music and basic principles.... he left Spassverbot, deciding to go on his own way.

Since 2011 and after more than 7 years of electronic music experience, he started producing on a homestudio which is growing with the time and he is learning from collaborations proyects and because his autodidact spirit.

Even without almost any recognition, he kept producing.

His last EP released on August 2016 "Numbers EP" was supported by Boris (OstgutTon), WarinD ( WarinD Records) and many others reputed and also amateur Djs. For that EP he created also music videos for each Track of the release.

His relative reduced Setup gives him a special and characteristic Sound and Style, moving away from trends and at the same time leaving his personal taste or mark. For his productions he makes use of his vast musical and party knowledge (NewYork, Berlin, Leipzig, Tokio, London, Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Ljubljana, Paris, Munich?...)

Since 2017 he is running his own digital Label.
The versatility and dark beautiness, the variation and over excitation of frequencies are why I feel this sound is my own.
I feel and impart unbelievable freedom through industrial noise, I like to indulge into a sound and postpone its boundaries continuously. I love the nearly shocking and scaring noises, what exceed the general and ferial soundscapes, which are surrounding us.
Host and producer of the long running Mantis Radio on futuremusic FM, and the dominant force behind the acclaimed Darkfloor website.
With a penchant for the darker, twisted side of techno, electro, DnB and other grimace-inducing bass heavy noise, DVNT has been at the cutting edge of techno for the last few years. Culminating in the emergence of record label Darkfloor Sound - pushing the work of Ontal, David Meiser, Phat Chex, Savagen, Lag + Forest People, Vacated, Matt TdK, Ruins, and Herd. Expanding and bridging the sounds he champions on Mantis Radio.

His sets present a varied selection, taking in sharp grime, industrial noise, rich and relentless bass weight, downbeat drone and an uncompromising techno backbone you can rely on. Over the years he has shared the stage alongside Svreca, Ancient Methods, Perc, Shelley Parker, Inigo Kennedy, Voidloss, P-Hocto, Coefficient, Jerome Hill, C Mantle and others.
I recently played Berlin's Suicide Circus, alongside Kamikaze Space Programme, Defunkt Dialect and Niki K and will be returning to Berlin at the end of the Summer. Darkfloor Sound recently released Savier's doom and steppy growler The Fountain Of Perpetual Decrepitude, available on cassette and digital forms from Bandcamp and the label is working on more club focused EPs.-

I have had a huge passion for all things Techno since the early to mid nineties and have been playing at party's and clubs all over the country including Birmingham's House of God, Uti in Edinburgh and Room 237 Bristol.
I have hosted as a resident DJ at a number of nights in Aberystwyth mid Wales which have included guests such as Surgeon, Paul Damage, Andrew Weatherall, Billy Nasty and Si Begg to name but a few. And for the last eight years have been a resident at the prestigious Freerotation Festival which has been voted Resident Adviser's top July festival 2 years running.

I have been producing and playing my own music since the late nineties Influenced originally by the likes of Surgeon, Regis, Paul Damage, Jay Denham, Claude Young and Steve Stoll, and more recently have been working on the slower funkier side of techno alongside my hard sets with influences from Sandwell District, Marcel Dettmann, Mike Dehnert, Smear/ Foreward Strategy Group and Jeroen Search.

My sets consist of a mixture of my favorite artists using three decks, two vinyl and one Cd deck, the Cd's being my own material exclusive to my sets aside from two releases in 2001 under Dr Watson, one on Complex records (Intergrale distribution in house label formerly run by Regis and Female) and a remix on Stevio's Mindtours label. And more recently releases on Trust Recordings and 6ONE6.

This month's podcast was brought to you by non other than Neil Birnie.

Neil Birnie hails from Aberdeen, Scotland. He’s an incredible DJ that commands absolute respect and is the most inspiring advocate for up and coming artists to let their art be heard.
Neil began collecting vinyl in the early 90’s, buying Rotterdam hardcore, rave and eventually techno after hearing the subliminal “Gravitational Arch of 10” by Vapourspace. However, a set of technics didn’t materialise until 1999 and he never bothered playing clubs as he was “just a record collector with a set of decks.”
Then, in early 2011, Neil was asked to host a show for online radio station “Fnoob Techno Radio” running the ‘Dark Frequency” podcast for over 4 years, mostly promoting up and coming DJs + live acts from the world over. This led to him becoming one of the station managers before leaving “Fnoob” in an official capacity in 2015. During this time, Neil started playing a few select gigs. Several for “Fnoob” in Dundee and London with a hoard of its resident DJs, and in various Berlin club nights including Inner Eskape and Plak.
2015 saw him playing Aberdeen’s “Binary School” alongside Neil Landstrumm, impressing the club promoters so much he was asked to become a resident, he now helps run the club and their new label “Binary Trax” with the first release scheduled for May 2016. The club has been operating since late 2013 by a collective of devoted electronic music fans, artists and synth geeks, coming together to run club nights. Its simple aims and principles are to enable us to function as humans without the bullshit and ego that club land has become. Both club and label promote passionate local artists who’re the finest exponents of their art with the music policy covering the entire range of electronic genres. The club operates a non profit making policy, whereby after costs, all money is split between the players.
He recently played the ‘New Faces’ night at “Tresor”, Berlin, his diary is full of bookings, he’s fully committed to the “Binary” cause and from time to time he creates insightful sets for awesome radio shows.

This month's Podcast comes from the extremely talented producer from Italy & 3TH label co-founder Lucindo! Along with D.Carbone & Ascion they release some of the more forward thinking techno with a no nonsense approach you'll probably ever hear currently on the dancefloor, with Industrial sounds & swathes of 303's along with pummeling kicks every release is amazing to hear!
Lucindo has Italo-Brazilian origins and now resides in Berlin, Germany.

He approaches deejaying at a very young age, growing with house music and techno then playing and embracing different kind of styles, going through electro, idm, industrial and experimental music.

His dj/sets are as powerful, mental and acidic as his own productions.

He begins to produce electronic music alongside Ascion and D. Carbone with whom he is friend since long time and shares the record label 3TH-records, the platform where his productions are released.

Lucindo often uses fictional main titles and the music is divided in theatrical "acts".
