Go Yama - Why like that lah

Our favourite ramen supremo Go Yama returns once again with a smoking single, after a recent trip and showcase in Singapore that provided various shades of inspiration for him.
'Why like that la' is a nod to the hybridised language in Singapore known as 'Singlish' - It's a rather strange yet efficient way of abbreviating English and combining words with local dialects and street slangs. The track in a way reflects that trait rather accurately, but more importantly indicates just how far Go Yama has matured in his music ever since his tribute Ep to Hayao Miyazaki released early last year on DTW.
His intricate sampling techniques, coupled with placements of live guitar riffs are beginning to define him very clearly as an artist - one that is firmly steeped in the spirit of diversity.
