Artificial Acoustical Ambience Records rounds out 2017 with the surprising ‘The Artificial Lounge Compilation’. Spread out over twelve tracks Swiss artist DanSonic presents two brand new productions as well as previously released remixes and originals, all of which get neatly tied together in a 76 minute Lounge mix to round out the collection.

The first of two new productions ‘Make U Feel Better’ showcases DanSonic at his best with a creation that is not only timeless but emotive. Perfectly sculpted bass stabs carve out a floor friendly groove while tribal drums and wispy vocals come in waves. A warm ambience advances the narrative nicely, lifting the vibe during an exhilarating second act, before a stripped down transition showcases the drum work, perfectly setting up a serene finale.

Meanwhile ‘All Right’ presented here in its ‘Black Light Mix’ goes for a deep, late night vibe. Sure to charm your dance floor, it’s warehouse inspired beats, spine tingling tones and a storyboard of soulful vocals delight the senses across a concise six and a half minute journey.

2017 saw DanSonic complete two remixes for his contemporaries at Art Nouveau Records. The first of which came in April when he reworked ‘Bakso’ by Dutch artist and Art Nouveau label boss Aad Mouthaan. Staying true to the groove of the original DanSonic reworks the track into a more spacious, airy context. On a backdrop of free flowing atmospheres comes percussive clusters and dubbed out tones for a purring late night affair.

The Swiss artist then returned to the Dutch imprint in August remixing Ton van Empel, who is best known for his trance classic ‘Greece 2000’, written under the Three Drives alias with Erik de Koning. DanSonic was called upon to remix the Dutch artist’s sultry creation entitled ‘Deeper’, putting up his own unique touch on the piece with stronger musicality. Grandiose yet incredibly light and airy, gated vocals and a piano laced break highlight the piece, eventually leading to a pumping, cosmic finale.

Also included on the release are previously enjoyed gems from DanSonic’s discography including Beach Lounge, Call Me, Desert Dunes (Transformation Mix), Glam, Music (Original and Aad Mouthaan Mixes), Sundown and Utopia.

Rounding out the collection is a 76 minute artificial mix edit by DanSonic. He has created a stylish Lounge edit across pollinating styles, keeping the vibe easy and relaxed, all while making it flow together like one seamless, well told story. A perfect way to cap off a successful year for DanSonic and no doubt a sign of more great things to come in 2018.
