Parallel was founded in 2007 as a goodbye party, when Riet left Belgium and moved to Germany.
Over the years the fun project “Parallel” (based in Berlin, Germany) grew into a lifestyle and full time love for dancefloor music diversity, uniting house, techno, elektro, acid, ambient, experimental, dub, Chicago, Detroit and everything in between.

While hosting events and playing all over the world, Parallel has developed into a booking agency for different artists and a creative family for music and graphics, since Daniela La Luz and Riet both studied communication design.
The vinyl only record label “Parallel” is the long awaited logical next step with Daniela being the artistic director.

First release comes from Daniela La Luz itself, introducing her dancefloor diversity to their new born label. After releasing two albums and a few EP´s, remixes and winning a QUARTZ 6 Electronic Music Award, Daniela demonstrates once more her genre breaking talent and approach, taking the understanding of house and techno music to new horizons. The combination of tracks is very well thought through. The aim is to fulfill the DJ´s needs of having one record representing all moods of a set.

Waveforms are not only a mathematical law, waveforms are everywhere, in all sections of everyday life, in light and in sound.
Parallel is one of the many parallel universes out there, living and believing in variety, whilst pointing onto respect for various life forms. We do what we love.

Kenny’s new ‘Dark Side’ EP for Souvenir marks his return to the label after a two year break, after releasing ‘Trident / Perseus’ back in 2013.

This new release sees his sound mature and gather even greater depth and atmosphere. Title track ‘Dark Side’ is a playful, shimmering slow-mo house record, sure to leave the dancefloor entangled in its groove and rolling bassline. ‘Pine’, cuts a more dramatic path, recalling bygone Balearic euphoria and 80s italo electronic explorations.

The original cuts are underpinned by three heavyweight remixes from Tolga Fidan, Daniela La Luz and Pepe Braun. Fidan’s effort takes the original and turns it into an exemplary, spacious dubbed out drum workout whilst Daniela Le Luz cues straight into the house elements, rolling out a glitchy, funked up dancefloor tool. A carefully bound remix by Pepe Braun unfurls slowly and elegantly over seven minutes to round off the EP.]]>
