This week for this 153rd episode my guest is Jean-François Gervais aka Dj Gerv The Ghost.

J-F was born in Laval in 1978 but he grew up in St-Eustache in a family advocating sports where the music of the 50s-60s and 70s was omnipresent. Early on, he discovered the Beatles and made it a passion that continues today.

On May 25, 1996, a music event changed his life forever, his first rave, Enigma Return, where he became acquainted with the underground culture and above all, electronic music. Very quickly, he is interested in the DJ who plays it and is quick to know the different artists already established on the scene. Participating in several events afterward, a dream, a passion was developing quietly, becoming already dj. It was in 2002 that the opportunity came to buy its first turntables and first vinyl.

Having as idols and mentor Sven Vath, Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Dave Clarke and so on, all these names influenced the style and technique of G.T.G. Having participated in several events as dj and organizer, it is in 2014 that he signs for a residency at djfmradio.com for a show every Saturday night for 68 consecutive weeks, The Ghost Show.

Also, he made dozens of appearances on Radio Akurox. By the same token, he founded FunnyHouse production that specializes in electronic music events. Gerv The Ghost has the opportunity to perform in dozens of booking a year more to have the chance to play for Black Therapy
