DJ Nephew grew up in a house where all genres of music was played. 60’s soul music, 70’s funk, late 80’s to the early 90’s R&B, as well as hip hop. DJ Nephew fell in love with music and wanted to do more than just listen. He wanted to put his own identity and twist into it, thus DJ Nephew was born. His mixes are heavily influenced by today’s music with an old school feel.
Nephew loves performing in night clubs and connecting with the audience but he is also infatuated with playing in a crowd with thousands of people. In the midst of it all, he still gets a thrill for being hired to dj private events, birthday parties, weddings and a good old fashioned barbecue. He has a passion for R&B love songs which inspired him to create the mixtape series titled Bedtime Stories. The mixtape debuts right before Valentines Day every year. When he doesn’t have any events lined up he continues to hone his talent by creating personal mixes.
