I written this song with limitations in mind such as the E note in the key of B never appears in the song! I also wanted to do a a short Jazz song.
I also used a Capo on my acoustic guitar to be able to play in B major. Not only it helped but it crafted a new sound to my style. I quite liked this song! I liked the the chords that I used for the song as well as the melody that it appears at the end of the verse. I also sing it quite well.

Another old I song I wrote for 50/90. I wrote this song with meaning in mind though a bit of an adaption of what I was originally going for. I was in my bathroom thinking of having a child in the future whether that child had my genes or not. I wanted do a song on it but I didn't want to address it so literally. I had to figured out how I would address this not so clearly. When I was listening to the track I had a line in my head for the first verse of the song "You left me there. And form there I knew how to write the song from a different perspective.
So I wanted to attempt on a new genre here but I did not want to use the 12 bar cliched progression that you hear from the 50s and 60s, I wanted to instead do an alternative version of it by removing a bar from the progression. I wanted to sound on expecting whenever listener listens to it expecting the progression to end after the 12th bar is heard! I also ended the song in an unusual chord to end a song, and I quite liked it.

I gotta say that my vocals nor my guitar playing didn't come out that great that I expected. I mean for the guitar it's not that obvious but for the vocals, it definitely is! So I wish I could've done one more take with the vocals because it sounded scratchy. lol

Another old song I wrote for 50/90 part of their sub-challenges. This was a challenge that was established by Volker. He basically told us to construct his first song, "Strange" for 50/90 into our own way. This include everything from the lyrics, chords, key, and tempo, and even the title of the song. So I guess this could be considered a cover of Volker's song . But He told me is up to the individual to credit his song or not. Since this not really my song, I'm going to credit to him. I mean I pretty reconstructed this song from the original version, but I still I feel like I should give credit to him.

Lyrics:

V1:
There once was a house
At the end of the street
With boarded up windows so grey
There once was a home
At the end of the road
With boarded up wood so brown

V2:
There once was a photo
Hanging in the new house
Doubtly a work of art
And left in that picture
You could see a bright car
And a woman with a hole in her heart

C1:
Wooooooh
There once was a street
Woooooooh
There once was you

V3:
There once was a sun
With its sunglasses on
Hiding from the stars blazing ghost
He was captured in the scene
With a little squid
There's more to this man

C2:
Hooooooo
Hanging in the new art
Hooooooo
Doubtly a work of a hole

V4:
There once was a house
At the end of the street

Another song I wrote for 50/90. This was a combination of official weekly challenges and sub-challenges. For the official challenge, I had to write a song that had a song title with an adjective describing something by using a random word generator with whatever describing noun came what to be. For the sub-challenge, I made a challenge based a making a song with random notes and so this is what I came up with! I had to change the chords to the bridge because they were quite difficult to play and they would easily clash with each which would make them basically sound all too familiar.

This song was also difficult to record on guitar I took several takes to make it all the way through!

Lyrics:

V1:
Piercing Lawmaker
What have you done?
What was it for?
What was I for?
For everyday
You have me smiling

V2:
Piercing Lawmaker
What is there to be said?
Why haven't you dread?
To make mistakes
In the end?
I shall come

Another song I wrote for 50/90. This song was another song that was created for the 3-in-10 challenge. I believed this was written under 10 minutes as well. Recently I added lyrics to the song because the song originally didn't had any. I added more chords to several sections of the song to be able to fit the lyrics in. I have to say that lyrics aren't fully in sync with the chords but it mostly is. I did several vocal takes on it because of that issue, but I was unable to get a good take on them and so I went with the first one.
Lyrics:
I'd admit that there is no prairie
V2:
Let the farmers grow their own crops
And we will see outside your house
And perhaps we are just
Special inside
Blooming with love
I chose reggae because one of my favorite rock bands would occasionally play in that genre, and so I wanted to attempted myself. And of course add a new sound to my style of writing. Big thumbs up to metalfoot of 50/90 for suggesting to use percussion. I don't have any real percussion instruments but I ended up liking it in the end.

This song really difficult to record because of the time signatures that switch between sections and I added a few polyrhythms to the song. Thankfully, I was able to record the guitar parts with not much time wasted.

Another song I wrote for 50/90. This is one feels more complete than other ones I've done recently. I wrote this song actually before "Anytime" but I treated as a left field project from my other songs. It wasn't until the day after I dedcided to make it into a complete song. I wrote this for a sub-challenge called 3-in-10. A challenge where you would have to construct three finished songs under 10 minutes. I failed that challenge and only came up with one. But I at least I was able to write a song under 10 minutes!

Here, I failed on synching the backing vocals to the lead vocals. I was also going for some sort of note change at the end of the first bridge section(singing a D over an E chord). Did I prevailed that task? lol My singing is a done a lot better than my previous songs. I also liked how the lyrics are simple. The melody also gives it some type of Transylvanian vibe, something unique from the rest of the stuff I usually write.

So today I uploaded two songs tonight because tomorrow I'm not going to be able to upload anymore of them because I will be working a long shift tomorrow. So I guess you guys get a freebie from me tonight! lol

This is another speck I wrote for 50/90. This was from one of their weekly challenges. I can't quite remembered what was it about but I believed it had to do writing a song on transportation. Not much to say about on this one; since I did not really added any backing vocals on my previous song "I Feel The Skies", I decided to add backing vocals in this one. I quite liked this one better than my previous song.
I liked the simplicity of the lyrics.
Lyrics:

Another particle I worked on for 50/90. The intro came from another old song I worked on before. This was supposed to be me my first song and not "Betrayal". I wrote this song when I was 23 (now 27) and this was before I was motivated to write songs and the song just didn't work for me entirely, so I shelved for many years, and I regret that cause now I can't find any recordings of my first song besides the tab sheet that my teacher provided for my song which is basically the guitar lead guitar parts for the song which basically doesn't help wonders.

Me and my guitar teacher worked on this song, well I came up with the song first but he helped with providing melody with his lead guitar, so I thought it wouldn't be fair to record it, and post it without his permission. That's why I need a past recording of the song with the chords or the chord chart for my song. But yeah unfortunately, this song will never see the light of day because of these incidents, but if I remembered this song, I will post it here definitely! It also never had any lyrics too! hehe
Tt has some sort of bluesy feel going on, and I think that's lost today's rock music. Maybe I'm wrong about that assumption, I may have to go back to listen to some current popular rock songs of today. So correct if i'm wrong on that assumption. The lyrics were quite fun to sing out loud! So please sing this song with all of your heart to it!!

Another piece I did for 50/90. For the bridge I actually lifted off from noodling on my guitar one day and I really liked it so I decided to use in a part of a song. I thought this was a good idea to do that in this song to give some contrast from the rest of the sections of the song. I feel like the verse section feels too short. So The first couple of verse sections feel like a full verse section and I didn't realize this type of gap in my songs after writing many songs later! And of course the last verse felt incomplete because of this.
Though I will say this is the last shorter song of my series of shorter songs. After this song, I started creating longer songs.

This is also the first song that propelled me to use less of the root chord to start off a song. Though I still struggled in creating decent bridge here. But I think this is also the last time I would use all Three: tonic, subdominant, dominant in a section. As I was bored with them being used a lot in other songs I've heard.

I also liked most of the lyrics here even though I based them on their sound rather than their meaning. I also mispronounced "frown" as "frawn", so sorry for meddling with the English language, but I don't come upon that word too often during conversations or listening.

I wrote this song during 50/90. I was influenced by The Beatles' Please Please Me song. Mainly because It packed a lot in such a matter of minutes! And I wanted to do something like that for this song. I feel like I failed this one though because The Beatles song was sped up to accommodate radio play. And I didn't did that I just made it so can match the speed of the song.

The song I wrote was originally faster too but this time slowed it down a bit. It just sounded way more smoother that way. This song was another one that was hard to record mainly the guitar parts. I messed up towards the end of the song. The chorus was supposed to be repeated two times but instead I did half of the chorus by mistake, and that's why you noticed the melody became loose towards the end.

I also added contrary motion to the vocals. I like how vocals are sung in different notes and not the same notes as the main vocal. It really makes a song more interesting to hear than it's usual unison vocal takes.

This is one of my most poppiest songs I've done so far, formally being Journey.
For the bridge i wanted to do Weezer style-like bridge. The tempo of the song was influenced by the pillows' Strange Chameleon. Like "Kevin" I used the minor 5 in this song as well. This song was very hard to record! Both vocals and guitar!! For the guitar part the bridge is what messed me up alot of times! For the vocals, I had porblems synching with the tempo of the song to the point I had to use another method of listening to my backing this time headphones unlike my previous tracking that were done on my laptop speakers!!
What's really interesting is that I sung a flat note over a G chord in this one. This is also my fastest song I ever written I even don't know what's tempo for the verse is!

It was tiring to record the parts properly! And I think I didn't played the chords corretly throughout the song. Definitely nice ideas going on in the song. I liked the lyrics, I liked the way how they sounded and how easy it was to sing them.
The melody sounds too similar to the last previous song but much worse with the bridge sounding too similar to the verse. I did the liked the intro and outro as well as the lyrics, and the use of a sus4 chord seemed unusual in a minor key song (well I wouldn't exactly say this song was in a minor key though, but the whole thing throughout has a "minor key" feeling going on until we arrive on the coda. Which puts in the key of F actually.), but other than that, it seems forgetful to me. This was also my attempt on writing fewer lyrics than my previous songs, which I was quite happy to won over that feat.
What do I hear is pain

And some day we will miss
Many opportunities

Even for those that don't have none
I wish for everyone to start their own journey
I've come to terms with myself
For everyone to be in vain
<itunes:summary>Another old song I did many moons ago. I wanted to write this song in the style of The Beatles, not sure if I was successful but I did my best.

Lyrics:

V1:
I feel so nearly close to you but
Haven't had the chance to wept myself
Even though I have time for myself
But got nearly time for anyone else

C1:
I prayed for you I gave them a heart
For you to start your own journey
May I have passes for everyone
Even for those that don't have none
I wish for everyone to start their own journey
I've come to terms with myself
For everyone to be in vain

V2:

Another old song I wrote which had lyrics but haven't noticed until I wrote the new lyrics for it. Not only that but it also didn't had a title. I'm not sure what key this song was meant to be I think it was in the key of G. This has got to be one of my most bizarre pieces I've ever written! The root chord never appears in the song, so it feels unresolved. I also added a short guitar solo which sounded nice to me. I also misspelled and mispronounced "fragrance" as "fragnance"! lol I'm not going to redo the recording but I will fix the title!!

Lyrics:

V1:
I see a light dashing underneath the sand
Until I awaken the cosmos

C1:
I can feel this fragrance
Seeping into the final closure
I can feel this fragrance
Seeping into the final world

(Guitar solo)

This was my first song that I wrote many months ago. I didn't had the chance to record until today because I was busy doing songs for 50/90.

Lyrics:

V:
No matter how you was walls
You wasn't here for me
But I was here for you

P:
It was no you
To take things away from me
And you will never matter

C1:
I've plastered the walls
I've touched the skies
And I've touched my eyes
I've come through it
And see it
All of myself

B:
I've come through the picture
To see things I haven't take
And you noticed I'm you
Unlike never before

C2:
Through the doors what I've seen
Is an illusion
Of what's to come
Time to take some action
To put it back in here

O:
Then you got the looks and you
Stick with your gut but then
You put it in to show nothing
Even if you don't have it
I don't have candy for you
