Thato Mofolo better known as "Tahir Jones" was born in the early 90's in a township called Kanana in Klerksdorp. He's interest for music started when he was asked to be part of a church choir,where he learned basics for instruments such as Piano,Bass and Drums. But later on after realising he's passion was for House Music,he then started producing from the age of 17. In 2009 he moved to Johannesburg where he met Samkelo Mdolomba(Samthing Soweto) who acted as a mentor to his singing and his music as a whole.

The same year, Tahir did a song with Jeoking which received overwhelming love from alot of other known producers. In 2011 Tahir joined a Deep House crew called Blaq Sons and through Blaq Sons he has worked with alot of major Producers.

Ever since his music career started,he has worked with the likes of Sculptured Music, Mash, Soultronixx, Luudrumma, Ehmi, Imaginery Friends, Tafi, Fezz, Syclonic,the list goes on. Tahir's production style has been inspired by likes of Forteba,Scott Diaz,Mac Dee,Vandal M and so on.

He has released with record labels such as DeepWit Recordings,Just Move Rec,Oh So Coy Rec,Out and Out and Rogue Decibels
