For this episode we have invited Swedish DJ and production duo Dirtytwo to spin some of the records that have influenced them over the years.

A few words from DirtyTwo..
As always with these kind of list/mixes you could make a mix that last for years and of course in different genres. So to fit the hard task we had to cut it in to ten years skip and think about what tracks that has had an impact on us both, from when we where children following the yellow brick road to this day (almost).
Whit no further adu here is the Dirtytwo selected tracks from the age of zero to thirtyisch….

    One of few cassettes at home but this was the shit! F

    Dad poring the drinks, dropping some dance moves. G
  4. In the mood – Glen Miller
    One of dads favv tracks and it was contagious. Realizing today that Miller had fat drops in their music long before house music. F
  5. Spanish Fly – Herb Alpert
    Dad rising the tempo at the party. G
  6. Ballroom Blitz – Sweet
    One of me first singles. Sweet were hard as kryptonite. G
  7. Copacabana – Barry Manilow
    One of the first records I bought. Loved this then will always love it. F
  8. Grease is the world – Frankie Vallie
    Was on vacation south of sweden Grease theme in the freestyle. I loved the killer break at the end. F
  9. New Song – Howard Jones
    The reason I bought my first synteziser. F
  10. Good times – Chic
    Jamming at Ektorps Fritidsgård when the dj droped this and since then Bernard and Nile been musical mentors. G
  11. Hey You – Rock Steady Crew
    Lead theme for my not so very successful break era. F

    !!! The impact hearing this was mind-blowing. G

    Kind of bland but made me in to the disco nerd I am. G
  14. Gold – The Spandau Ballet
    Influence was also important, but Cheesy. F

    Everything about this track is perfect. Just feel when the moog bass kicks in. Bliss. F
  16. Sexuality – Prince
    You either loved or hate prince at the time. I worshiped.G
  17. Marvin Gaye
    What can I say, one of the greatest. I was knocked out hearing this first time. F

    Is there funk after death? I say 7up. G
  19. Same Beat – James Brown Funky People
    James Brown saved my life! I would produce music in a hole other perspective if Ive not heard James Brown.

  21. To High – Stevie Wonder
    Influenced med emencly. Can’t go pass this dude. F
  22. To young to die – Jamiroquai
    One of my first contact with Acid Jazz. This was just what i wanted at that time!F
