Coming from a Rock/Metal/Punk background Christoph expanded his musical palette as he grew more into being a musician. His openness for other kinds of music, especially the more synthie-electronica of the 80’s, led him to the idea of keeping the music of his band Choirs alive in a cooperation with another artist. In Malte aka DJ Jump he found a true electronica-enthusiast, who made his name via a host of live gigs and mixes he’s done in the scene of his hometown of Hamburg. Malte’s great interest in being inspired by other artists sparked the Project CMLP. The first result of this new cooperation therefore is a ‘deep house’ spin on a Choirs song, that keeps the character of the original alive but infuses it with LalaM’s personal brand of danceable and club-ready tunes.
