Cassoulet (pronounced Ka-su-le) is a rich, slow-cooked casserole originating in the south of France, containing either pork sausages, goose, duck and sometimes mutton, pork skin and white beans. Clive went with the name “Easter Cassoulet” for two reasons.

1. Cassoulet is a confit of different meat(s) (slow cooked)…so in the mix, Clive literally abstained from the traditional house tracks with tempos ranging 120-125bpm. Rather went on a mix variation of Indie | Dance | Disco | Nu-Disco ending of on some slow cooked(@104 bpm) slo-mo house.

2. Cassoulet is named after its traditional cooking vessel, the cassole, a deep, round pot with slanting sides, so “DEEP & all-disco-rounded" gems would be appropriate right!

It might not be of any relevance to a lot of peeps who follow Clive Bean's mixes & are not that familiar with what Home Cookin’ mixtapes stood for or still stand for but the Electronic-aficionados that have followed the brand since its inception in 2005( birth place: infamous club @115, Anderson Street, Jozi) know what Home Cookin Xclusiv has always been about; good food meets good music (irrespective of genre)
