I made this as an instrumental for my talented friend Ariel to sing over top of...and she always nailed it. Then I heard the Busta Rhymes & Q-Tip mixtape/album "The Abstract & The Dragon". The tune "Thank You" has them rapping over a beat that samples "I Want To Thank You" by Alicia Myers...and I though of how some of their more classic verses could work really well over the beat I made. These are just two legends laying it DOWN with one of my favorite songs.
