One hit... that's all it takes, for me to really take a look at who I am, in relation to where I am in this world and to realise that I am insignificant. After hitting a whole one, the dark city within me shows me the light that guides me towards the importance of my insignificance. There are so many like me and yet, I am the only one of my kind. Obvious, and yet so Deep.

My mind keeps expanding just as the universe keeps growing. From far, I can't help but marvel at the beauty I fail to describe... and then I get closer, only to be engulfed by the vacuum of nothingness and emptiness of it all. Truth, nothing but an illusion that varies from person to person. I'm falling, and falling... leaving my body back in this world where nothing means anything at all, trying to find my way back to a place where I matter beyond someone else's perception.

So I roll another one. "Speak to me," I say to it as I light it up. Can you blame me? For wanting to know more about existence in this world that is clearly bigger than my imagination? I feel lost while knowing that I am exactly where I'm supposed to be. Confusing... I know. "Speak to me," my spirit says back to me as reality flashes before my eyes while I dive into oblivion. How deep...

So I put my shades on, trying to hide my fluids of emotion which emerge when I'm unable to speak. All that's left, is for me to find my way back to my body where the truth is my own, where I know who I'm supposed to be, where my insignificance is familiar to me...
Self-discovery, you see, is more than just looking at yourself and your place in the world. It also entails looking at the world beyond what you're able to see with your eyes alone. There is a source to it all, and you're closer to it than you're willing to accept. So can you really know anything without knowing its source?]]>
