Music and sounds of Carl Cameron aka PIANOMAN

For Carl the musical passion began on the sweaty dance floors of some of the most iconic clubs in 90’s northwest England and Northern Ireland. As a raver, visiting places like The drome, The State, Kelly’s, Circus Circus and Cream he saw DJ’s with varying skills and creative sets that captivated their audience with DJ’s holding the crowd in the palm of their hands. A little seed was planted...

A move to Germany in the early 90’s with nothing but a small bag of vinyl records, a groover records mailing list and a lucky break resulted in a residency in Hamlen’s local Discotheque; the seed began to learn and blossom.

Back in the UK in the late 90s, hard times saw the vinyl and the decks sold. a spark was reignited with the advances in digital DJing technologies Hardware and platforms such as VDJ, Traktor, Serato and Rekordbox. In late 2015 Carl played at a birthday party with several local DJ’s and Carl’s passion was noticed sparking slots at Liverpool events and offers of slots on various internet radio stations resulting in a two year weekly residency on Trax Radio. Requests for Carl to organise and promote events led to several drome reunions and themed nights around Liverpool in various music genres from House, Trance through to Techno.

A friendship arose with James Sammon which having played on a joint event with James, in Liverpool, saw Carl joining Pianoman. Whilst DJing with Pianoman, Carl has played to legendary clubs and events such as Sankey’s, More Cake, Hard Dock, Back By Dope Demand, S2S, Bac2Basics, Tin Tins & Anomaly, Satisfaxtion Malaga, and in and around Dublin City, and playing to some of the UKs best festivals such as Pier on the Pier, 80’s 90’s, BTID & Reminisce. Pianoman continues to play events delivering Live PA and DJ Sets internationally.

2018 saw Carl move into music production with the creation of the record label Vinyl4DJZ and several vinyl releases.

Ever evolving Carl has begun to teach others to DJ, passing on experience in software platforms, mixing skills, and techniques to aspiring new DJs.

Carl Cameron continues to play to packed live venues and deliver sets which stand out not only in the much loved old skool scene but also under UBEEK in the Techno scene as well as under his own Carl Cameron DJ brand/
