This piece in C# minor (140 BPM) was written as (driving) background music for phases in which one is busy compiling and writing the discussion of a scientific publication. The length is perhaps somewhat irritating. But as with the work on such manuscripts, the point is to fathom the field somewhat completely. That was also attempted in this piece of music. The big advantage as a consumer is that you can listen for a long time without being disturbed by a change. Also in comparison to shorter pieces, which are sometimes played in an endless loop, there is the advantage of a larger "range of variation".
