I have a born on date of February 28, 1966, so this is my birthday week. To kick it off, I wanted to give you a special edition of Blue Mondays featuring music recorded for Blue Note Records in the year of my birth.

Jazz, as always, was evolving covering post bop, soul jazz and the avant garde. That can be heard in some of the great works that year from artists like Lee Morgan, Stanley Turrentine, Wayne Shorter and Horace Silver.
