Arpoador Sunsets - After The Sun Sets; The Music of Eliane Elias. She’s an amazing vocalist & pianist who play straight-ahead jazz, fusion, & Brazilian jazz with equal skill. Elias was born in São Paulo; she started studying piano at age 7. By the time she was 15, she was teaching piano and improvisation. At 21, she moved to New York City, to attend The Juilliard School of Music. A year later she became part of the group Steps Ahead. Her first album was a collaboration with Randy Brecker entitled Amanda in 1984. In 1988 she was voted Best New Talent in the Critics Poll of Jazziz magazine. She has recorded for Denon, Blue Note, EMI, RCA, Sony/BMG, ECM Records, Concord. 2018's Music from Man of La Mancha is the Elias’ 26th full-length album.

I’ve been a fan since she released her second solo album, Cross Currents, in 1987. To pick favorites or her best is impossible. I just hope with this show I can present a collection of her artistry that you‘ll enjoy. Please enjoy my friends.
