To get pumped up for our Belly screening and afterparty, we’ve been gathering up all the songs with Hype Williams music videos. Hype has directed something like 200 clips since 1991 - he’s done 20 videos with Kanye West alone. So to keep the mix from being 10 hours long, we focused on his mid to late 90s output, basically the Belly era. And it’s a real meaningful time for us, as we went from rocking house parties to playing primetime slots in New York clubs along this same timeline.

Tracklist & Download:

The Rub is screening Belly at The Alamo in Brooklyn on Thursday, May 10 to launch their new film series. And after the movie, DJ Eleven and DJ Ayres will be spinning a special set of 90s hip-hop, R&B and dancehall records at The House of Wax, inside The Alamo and free to the public! Even if you missed getting a ticket for the movie, you can still come drink and party with us from around 8:45 on, at 445 Albee Square West.
