Basically just a collectionof Bloody Fist and Sydney Hardcore tracks that had a bit of an impact on me when I was just finding my feet with electronic breakbeat oriented production.
The title of the mix refers to what a friend in the Perth punk scene said to me when he gave me a TDK dubbed cassette of the first few tracks of Nasenbluten I'd ever heard.
Some of these producers I've seen play live, some I've played with, some I've earned the respect of, some I've chatted to even if just briefly and some pretty much shaped the idea of how far I could take everything.
Most producers I've met (particularly from Sydney and Newcastle) that were into BF really wanted to mimic their formula or ride their coat tails. I used to listen to their tracks and pull them apart like they were cars, just so I could figure out how they worked. I never really had any interest in sounding like Bloody Fist. Their sound definitely was an inspiration but it was what they achieved from where they started that really grabbed me. It showed me how easy it was to do it all yourself and make something special yourself.
