Jonathan Hodges has been studying music for the past 16 years. His main course of study has primarily concerned the violin, with intense self instruction in piano, voice, and guitar over the past five years. Jonathan is currently at SMU pursuing a double major in Violin Performance, (under the direction of the renowned Chee-Yun Kim) and Philosophy. He has performed in numerous masterclasses for distinguished artists including Alexander Serafimov, Ian Swensen, and Ivan Zenaty. In addition to learning and performing established repertoire, Jonathan composes for various settings including improvisation and modern genres ranging far from the Classical standard. He has recorded two studio albums and is in the midst of his third.
