Second track on the 'My God Machine' single. ‘Faster Than Light’ is a great song that was decided to be excluded from my two upcoming albums (A Shoe-In For The Shut-In Awards and Essential Travel) for no other reason than it contains melodic organ elements borrowed from the classic song ‘In Da Godda Da Vida’ by Iron Butterfly, and I always release covers or songs that sample from others’ copyrighted works as b-sides on FREE singles to avoid copyright infringement. The borrowed musical elements are not mere random novelty. The song itself is about the mysterious life and death of former Iron Butterfly bassist Phillip Taylor Kramer and the conspiracy theories surrounding his life/death.
