Chicago is greatly responsible for laying the groundwork of the electronic music we know today. Dating back to the 80's, the windy city has brought us timeless music from inspired artists who have shaped sound and pioneered a completely new genre of music. Many of these artists have become international icons and have gone on being fundamental players in the dance music landscape. And though electronic music has become a world phenomenon, it always has had its roots deeply embedded in the underground parties fueled by dimly-lit spaces, booming speakers and alternative mindsets. Just as the the underground was thriving at the famous warehouse parties of the 80's and 90’s, the Chicago underground is still very much alive today.

This EP, co-curated by Apulia Records and Mia Wallace, contains cuts from some of Chicago’s new underground tastemakers. With music ranging from electronica, house, tech-house and techno, there is a soundscape for all ears. This nine track release showcases talent from seasoned label bosses, hot upcoming artists, eccentric live performers, vinyl heavy hitters and everything in between. Lay aside your preconceptions and taste what today’s Chicago underground has to offer.
