Fue en un instante que ella percibió, en la distante y muda extensión, las cuatro estructuras que flotaban sobre trescientos cadáveres. Hubiese querido en aquel instante una menor escala en daños causados a la gente que le mostró Los Códigos de Épsilon.
El sudor frío y gris de su frente se hizo camino hacia sus labios. Cinco lunas habían pasado ya desde el último evento y ella aún sentía la herida en su memoria análoga. Los ancianos del circuito inmediato seguían adormecidos por el gas que emanaban las esferas de incandescente vapor de aluminio.
Y se alejó de la derrumbada ciudad junto con la última luna de acuerdo al calendario de aquel sistema. No dijo nada. Permaneció marchando hacia el infinito perdido en aquella distante y muda extensión.]
