Music and sounds of Andreas -Mixerm8- Polydoros

Mixerm8 aka Andreas Polydoros was born in Athens - Hellas in 1976. At the age of 7 started to study classical piano and continued until his 15.

In 1988 listened to his first hip hop record and from that moment electronic – dance music influenced him.

The next step is a pair of Technics MKii, a simple mixer and mix – scratching influenced only from a soul – funk – hip hop style.

In 1992 started to work as a young Dj in local bars in Athens - Greece, Kythnos island - Cyclades during the summertime and after 4 years at local clubs in Athens including some clubs in the centre until 2002.

In 2003 left Athens and arrived to Cambridge (UK) where he studied on the field of "Audio and Music Technology" @ Anglia Ruskin University.
After 3 years in Cambridge he moved to London where he worked as a Sound Recordist / Mixer Studio - Live & Beat Maker for some studios to get experience.
Meanwhile he also had some weekly Dj gigs at some bars in the centre as well as a monthly Dj show on an online radio station.

In 2008 returned to Athens - Hellas where he started to work as a freelancer Live Sound Engineer while continued to work with some studios and recording artists in Hellas and UK plus his own compositions - productions as well.

In 2010 stopped the freelancing jobs and started as a broadcast sound mixer for a TV Station in Athens until 2011.

After one year and a half in Toronto - Canada he now -in 2013- lives in NYC where he works as a freelancer sound mixer Studio - Live and Dj. He also Records, Mixes & Masters his own compositions & productions.

In the NYC years has met, worked & gotten experience by few very well respected guys in the industry of audio.

As he believes that music doesn’t have limits there are only 2 kinds for him. The music with aesthetics and the music without it. So as you can imagine his influences include everything.
