It’s been a while since we’ve had Andy here at Piston, and we welcome him back with his latest effort, the three track EP titled In & Out Of My Life. This one follows his last stint here with At First Light and, no doubt this one will be just as well received. Prolific DJ and producer Andy started to showcase his skills back in 1995 when he started to DJ in different clubs around Europe. He developed a partnership with producer Manou De Jean and together they created a unique music symbiosis. Several releases followed gaining international acclaim from top jocks and fellow artists. The following years has seen Andy release music on a plethora of labels, building quite an impressive back catalogue.

Up All Night is a straight up party stomper filled with a series of contrasting sounds that blend beautifully into a pure dancefloor groove. From the steady rhythms of the multi-layered drums to the infectious classic 90’s filtered disco riff technique and everything in between, this track stands out for its diversity and unadulterated dance inducing goodness. We’re also treated to a round of scathing 303 acid which is the icing on the cake here. Not to be missed.

Tonite is just the tonic with all the right ingredients for a bit of dancefloor enjoyment. Nice and smooth, the beats flow steadily alongside a groovy bassline and subtle disco stabs. A real cool vocal snippet from Class Action’s 1983 cut called Weekend, takes centre stage with those funky ass riffs that give this one its persona and dance appeal. A proper floor stomper that will not disappoint.

You Know takes deep house funkiness to a whole new level. Soulful vocals and a strong bassline combine beautifully to create a striking dynamism that will fill floors all over. Powerful beats and a rhythmic percussion section lay the foundation for the track as that bassline dominates. Melodic keys and hi strings stand out, adding an extra layer to a superb track that is an absolute must have.
