AMAZETRAX alias Christian Vogel.
Born and raised in Weimar / Germany.
In 1990 I made my first contacts with electronic dance music. For me it was an absolute
weekly highlight to listen to Saturday evenings “HR3 Clubnight” and to tape it with my
cassette tape recorder.
This is how I got to know all the DJ`s and their music and got an image of the different
music styles.
Me for myself, I’ve been impressed of the sounds of Sven Väth and the way he celebrated
his kind of playing music.
My curiosity was piqued. I bought my first records and played them at home.
Then in 1991, a good friend came to visit me and brought me an Atari computer and a
small rack synthesizer.
That was it. Now there were no more borderlines for my creativity.
As in a state of trance I started to make my own music and it never let me go again.
Some day a scene developed also in my town.
We tried to start something and organized our own little events.
This has been a fantastic platform to act out one’s feelings.
Now I had the possibility to play my live-sets and to develop myself.
Until today, Sven Väth, Robert Hood, Richie Hawtin, Samuel L. Session as well as
Cristian Vogel (UK) are my ideals, which are giving me always new inspiration
and great ideas for my own tracks.]]>
