AlternativKlang started buying his first records at the early age of sixteen, although his special interest for electronic music was raised by the tunes of his very first radio. Fascinated by the monotone and hypnotic bass lines, he was inwardly convinced that he would find his representative style in a mixture of all genres of House, Techno and Dub.
As professional and meticulous sound handling always was his top priority, alternativKlang devoted much time in improving his techniques and skills.
He first publicly showed up at illegal open-air parties and little national clubs, but rapidly developed himself to a well-known support artist for national as well as international headliners. Today, he can be described as an established entertainer of the Viennese electronic music scene with a remaining breeze of an authentic backyard-DJ.
Having a residency at the famous monthly “Techno Sonntag” as well as at the open-air parties managed by open.Sky, he is regularly responsible for an unusual fourth-to-the-floor sound in Vienna and also plays at other big venues in national cities as well as at foreign festivals and clubs, such as in Germany or Coratia.
Although he becomes increasingly present within the DJ booth, his aim is to stay completely off charts and mainstream: secret promo edits, crazy unreleased tracks and vinyl only stuff are essential ingredients of his very intense, rhytmic and hypnotic sets.
In 2014 he started his own Vinyl only Label "Yoursistercallsmedaddy Records" with focus on deeptech sounds.
