Alex Niko was born in Tehran, Iran. His parents decided to send him to the US when he was 11 to get a better education. He Graduated from high school at 16 and went to UDC. When he started college he started to go out to clubs and he used to just stay next to the DJ booth and watch the DJ's. In 1985 he bought his first turn tables and mixer and started practicing. In 1987 he got his first job playing Friday's and Saturday's at the 2nd biggest clubs in DC (The Dome). While playing there he started to play at other clubs in DC. By 1998 he was playing 6 nights a week at 3 different clubs and was picked as the best DJ in DC by Maryland Musician Magazine. In 1995 he decided to stop DJing and concentrade on his family business that he still works at. Even though he gave up DJing he still guest DJed at some of the clubs in DC. In Early 2006 he decided to get back in to DJing again and he has had a lot of succes since starting back up. He has DJed in Germany,
England, Wales, Dubai. Turkey and Egypt. He also has DJed at Nikki Beach, Pearl, Indra, The Shore Club, Perry Hotel and Cameo in Miami. He has had great success with his production's with support from Dave Dresden, Blake Jarrell and Matt Darey. His track Music Is My Drug hit #13 on the Progressive House charts. Also he has had great success with his other tracks Smooking Hookah, Blue Moon, Dream Catcher. His new track Alex Niko & Incognet - San Francisco Dreamin which has been remixed by the biggest dj remix service in the world Ultimix and it's also getting remixed by Noel Sanger. All his tracks have been picked for the VA top 100 tracks. He has releases on Recovery House, Undervise Records, Club Session, Play This Record, Motiva Recordings and Muziek Colours.
