They build massive ark ships complete with centrifugal gravity rings and suspended animation chambers to make the journey. When they arrive they encounter a space time structure like something out of Star Trek The Motion Picture, where at the core, they discover a message sent by themselves in a previous iteration of the universe, with instructions on how to create the next one, along with all collated date on their culture, history etc. We then get a glimpse into life of the previous main architect of the universe, saying that she won't make the same mistakes again, in Roland of Gilead fashion, because you know you have to put in some emotional content into a song so cold and sterile. And then she creates the universe in which her future self will discover the message.
