<itunes:summary>Originally from the UK, I now live in New Zealand. I spent the 90s in Brighton exploring a world of clubs, free festivals and squat parties all over the south of England. I came to NZ in 2002 with a bag of records and worked as a dj in numerous small venues in Wellington. Developed a monthly shindig in a dimly lit backroom cocktail bar called Mercury Lounge, spinning a wide variety of house and classic 70s, 80s and 90s underground funk and soul. It ran from 11pm til 6am for about 5 years. Nowadays I enjoy a few gigs here and there, often in conjunction with Ohakune-based DoubleDrop Sound System and crew.
Music wise, nothing is off limits. Jazz, soul, rnb, hip-hop, disco, house, techno, breaks, dnb. If it suits the occasion and moves the crowd - it's in my bag this week.
I have a unique analogue dj set up, including the most beautiful dj mixer handbuilt by Justin Greenslade of Isonoe. I've also built my own mastering grade digital-to-analogue converters to compensate for the poor sound of Pioneer cdjs. The sound quality is like nothing else, proper audiophile business!
I also own a 6kw sound system powered by Opus Audio HD analogue amps, which complements my dj set up beautifully. It's the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard and, due to the amps being rough-hewn from the core of a neutron star, the heaviest thing I’ve ever had to lug around with me.</itunes:summary>

Originally from the UK, I now live in New Zealand.
It's the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard and, due to the amps being rough-hewn from the core of a neutron star, the heaviest thing I’ve ever had to lug around with me.

Thank you to Austin and the Double Drop crew for accommodating my analogue gear on the predominantly digitally managed rig, and being generally very relaxed about all foibles. Oh god, and a HUGE shout out to the sashimi, which literally saved my bacon.
This mix was recorded a couple of days before the event. It represents me picking out and sifting through tunes in a bid to create the vibe.
Originally from the UK, I now live in New Zealand.
It's the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard and, due to the amps being rough-hewn from the core of a neutron star, the heaviest thing I’ve ever had to lug around with me.

Originally from the UK, I now live in New Zealand.
It's the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard and, due to the amps being rough-hewn from the core of a neutron star, the heaviest thing I’ve ever had to lug around with me.
