HTTPS’ which starts with a telephone sound, then dial up modem sounds before introducing a sneaky old school synthesizer baseline. Here the voice that we have just met in the ‘not so safe’ track, is starting to sound much more friendly and approachable. It’s a voice trapped in a special effect but now actually sounding more in a singing way, making me feel safe and sane throughout the insanity. The music is whispering, calm with a pretty guiding melody that gives the voice some more weight. After a few listens the song becomes more and more intimate and pleasurable, with a smart intelligent structure that isn’t upfront but more hidden to keep up the weird mood…

If you like this kind of oddness than you will be okay within this album as ‘Righteous Risk’ keeps the strangeness without doing a single step toward the normal realm. The voice begins to sound more theatrical, mumble-singing over a mushroom based electronic weird kind of soup, and it reminds me a bit as if this is performed by one of the house plants of Petunia McPumpkin.
