Tim Jones, one half of the Miami DJ/producing duo 'DeviceRATT' is taking his solo abilities to the next level with his new alias 'Gerard J'. His new 3 track EP titled 'Testament' is his new venture and here at Aerotek we thought it was perfect timing to be able to in house this moment and release his debut material on our label.

The featured track 'Testament' is exactly the direction we wanted Gerard J to take as it's deep, driving techno at its finest! The atmospheric elements this track provides is perfect for that late am set as the journey is coming to a close. The track wastes no time getting things going with the kick, bass and hats that instantly provides the direction of where the product is going. Following its compressed white noise, the track immediately starts showing its character with its mood and groove, transitions, deep melodic qualities and the mysterious spoken words.

On the B-side we have another debut artist, ben A out of Denver Colorado on the remix. ben, known for his even deeper characteristics of his productions showcases just that on the Testament Remix. His percussive elements, the steel drums for example make for a very ethnic feel as if you were deep in thought on an tropical island. The soundscapes he has chosen on his remix fit perfectly with the type of rendition that he can only portray for a very job well done.

Finally we have none other than Mr. DIRTYCLEAN himself on the 'Jungle Warfare' rework. Originally a DeviceRATT original, Renato aka DIRTYCLEAN decided to put his own spin on it with his trademark style and groove that is certainly defining his roll on the EP. In his ever evolving progression, there's no denying that this is one of his finest productions up to date.
