Aerotek taking you through the depths of Germany on our latest release titled 'Surveillance of the Mind' by Steve Masterson. With the array of remixes lined up for this one, it's kind of hard not to be intrigued as to what this release delivers from such various artist. Since from the very beginning of our Aerotek venture, we knew that we had to get our hands on some traditional European techno from Steve as we had the pleasure of meeting him and hearing him play in one of our woods events in Flagstaff, Arizona. We have been patiently waiting since then for the moment to arrive, and the time has finally come and we couldn't be any more ecstatic about it! The original mix by Steve brings that atmospheric techno vibe through its dark corridors right from the start with its captivating intro. Once that kick surges in, we know we will be in for a journey with this one. The driving force of the track becomes apparent once that hi hat kicks in and from there on it just keeps building and building and making its way through your mind. The progression of the elements used keeps the listener yearning for more up until that very moment when the buildup comes and satisfies your senses. A very methodical approach in Steve's sounds that grabs you and does not let go, amazing job Steve!

The remixes following the original will give you a well balanced variation of different techno sounds across the globe. By Aerotek connecting the dots through cities and countries, we wanted to embrace just that. Our hometown hero from Arizona, Dj Fullsize starts off with his 'A Little Deeper' rendition of the track. Since Ryan Fullsize is a very good friend of Steve's, we only thought it was proper to have him follow up with remix number 1. With the perfect mixture of bounce and groove, this tech house worthy gem takes you through the mind of Fullsize and what he envisioned for the remix, just pure raw groove which we would not have it any other way.

Next on the list we have Daya with the number 2 remix. We knew that Daya would fit in well with his modern filthy west coast techno rendition. As the progression of Daya continually grows, so does his arrangement techniques as he manages to dissect the elements with his surgical precision. 6 minutes is all it took for this man to throw down what he needed and pack a power to his punch. Great response thus far when he has played it out, many props and thanks to him.

Exce is to follow on the 3rd. His remix of SOTM definitely keeps the momentum going as he is passed the baton from Daya and surely makes his mark felt. His infectious hi hat and gnarly bass and crisp stabs creates such an appealing style of rendition but still manages on staying true to the original. The feel of gloom and darkness which we feel best describes the overall direction of the release goes hand in hand with this remix and we feel it is a well done job.

Last but certainly not least we have Uun on the final remix . With the elements of Detroit techno on this one, this Kansas City native certainly put the final touches on a very well rounded EP as he eloquently demonstrates very polished attributes such as the drum roles, rolling claps, sophisticated synths and an overall great track. Hats off to these gentlemen for the opportunity to be on Aerotek and definitely hope to see them again soon!
