Cabrakan, the new EP from the already notoriously known UK native Thomas Latham is on a mission to put Arizona on the map with this latest release, so for him to be on our label Aerotek means a lot and its an honor to have him. Cabrakan, The Mayan God of earthquakes is what Thomas envisioned when creating this unique and masterful original with a tale of the Mayans waking up in the middle of the night to the shakes and rumbles of an earthquake and bowing to their God. When listening to the development of the track, you can certainly visualize these images in ones head as if it was a modern day soundtrack to the ancient ways of living back then. The most captivating element it being the creepy, melodic afterhour synth is what truly pulls you in and delivers that powerful uncertainty of a higher power and what the Mayan must have felt in that very moment when experiencing this natural disaster (deep huh?). Deep but yet grooving ambitions is what keeps the momentum going for Cabrakan that keeps the listener engaged throughout until the very end.

With very powerful remixes patiently waiting for their turn, the momentum just keeps on going with Cabrakan and its journey into your souls. Terrance K & Dinks remix, adds some stylin freshness to the EP with their minimal bounce and tight percussive elements and solid groove as they only know how to in the D. Following is UK native Michael Hooker whos remix then brings it back up with some high energy tech house flavor with its bouncing bassline and complex, detailed arrangement of percussion perfection with a taste of minimal on the side. Coming full circle is Minneapoliss own Complicit with penetrating rawness of techno driven sounds that act as well oiled machine that just keeps on going.
