Music and sounds of SoulBrigada

SoulBrigada was founded in 2009 by the german artists & musicians Alex D. and Fabio V. With this project they want to pull down stereotyped thinking and musical barriers and present a wide range of various music. As the name SoulBrigada associates, Soulmusic is obligatory for them but they’re not limited to this genre – the main point is the SOUL in the music.

Since then they played on several festival, radio stations & clubs from Lisbon, Split, Vienna, Zurich, Frankfurt.. and organized own parties with guest-dj’s (such as Rainer Trüby, DJ Friction, Tobias Kirmayer, Dedy Dread, Shantisan, Palov, Quincy Jointz and others).

In 2011 their remix of “Gilles Peterson’s Havana Cultura Band” was published as an exclusive & limited 12” vinyl-only release on Poets Club Records (Germany). In summer 2013 two of their Funk & Soul-Edits (7” Single) was released on KAT45 Records (UK). In June 2016 the own record label „Matasuna Records“ was launched and the debut – a 12“ ep with reworks from SoulBrigada & Voodoocuts - released.
