VALI is an active DJ and record collector since 1994 and head of Parallax recordings, a vinyl label that specializes in Hardcore Jungle. As part of the NME Click he released music on dsci4, basswerk, shadybrain, blu saphir, climate, trust in music and others.
With more than 400 own events under his belt - such as Parallax, Noir - Pitch-Black Drum&Bass, Echoes From the Future, Touchdown and the FEEEL! Festival - he is a known veteran in the German Jungle scene. As part of a collective he also runs the StepUp! on freefm.de (Sat. 7-10 pm MET) that runs since steady 21 years. Being used to play on big stages such as Sun & Bass (IT), Sonne Mond Sterne (DE), Fields Of Joy (HU), Kings Of The Jungle (DE) or Fusion (DE) he´s a versatile DJ that is able to adapt styles. His horizons reach from the beginnings of Rave (Acid, Bleeps, Detroit & Chicago) to the birth of Hardcore, Jungle Techno and Darkcore over to Jungle and atmospheric Drum&Bass up to Techstep, Neurofunk, Liquid and bits of Jump Up. On other occasions he can be found playing Jazz, Funk, Soul, old Rap, Organic Grooves and World Music - prefferably on 7" - or mashing up 80ies Music. There is no limit to an open mind!
