Deafnoxx is one of the mainstays of the electronic scene in Spain. The only Spanish contestant and winner of the "Bedroom DJ competition" at the DJ Awards Ibiza, he deftly plays Downtempo, Deep House, House and Techno House styles of music.
As a DJ he is unusual, as he is deaf in one ear and has only had 50% hearing since birth. What might initially have seemed a handicap has developed Deafnoxx’s ability to listen to a particular frequency, which has led him to work with sounds with special textures.
His sessions are characterized by his excellent criterion for selecting music, his meticulousness and exquisite finesse as he deftly plays styles like Downtempo, Deep House, House and Techno House, delighting those who attend his sessions in any of the aforementioned styles .
He was proclaimed winner of the "Bedroom DJ contest 2012" at the famous annual DJ competition DJ Awards Ibiza , being the first Spanish DJ to receive it and winning a master class with "Luciano" from "Cadenza Records" amongst other awards. He then did his session at the “Vagabundos” pre -party held at Café Mambo Ibiza, sharing a booth with some of the label’s members.
A regular of the Catalan night scene, his residencies are now combined with trips abroad, and lately it has been very common to see him perform outside the province of Lleida, in renowned places such as Cafe 1001 (London) Blue Marlin, Blue Marlin Marina (Ibiza), Café Mambo (Ibiza), Bay Bar (Ibiza), Catwalk (Barcelona), Eclipse Sky Bar "Hotel W" (Barcelona), Rosebud (Barcelona), KGB (Barcelona), Ambit (Andorra), Play Club (Andorra), BBME Beach Club (Mojacar, Almería), amongst others.
There have been many memorable sessions, but certainly recognition came for him from his residency in Pacha, part of the world-famous franchise, in Lleida in 2004. Later came his residency in River Club (Lleida) and the Chic Lounge Club (formerly Pacha, Lleida). He is currently the resident DJ at Manolita Night Life and Biloba Open Air. It is also quite normal to see him perform in boutiques such as "G- Star Raw Store" on weekdays in the city where he lives.
His experience and his trips abroad have allowed him to share booth with DJs of national and international fame such as Alex Wolfenden (Acid Mondays), Chelina Manuhutu, David Moreno (Ibiza Global Radio) DJ Nano, Felipe Venegas & Felipe Valenzuela (Cadenza), Ismael Rivas, Jp Candela, Juan Diaz, Luciano, Luis del Villar, Marc Marzenit, Oscar de Rivera, Sarah Main, Tony Verdi, Uner, Wally Lopez and others.
He has also been seen participating in events of such renown as the private party in 2008 for the Custo Barcelona fashion show held in Lleida’s "River Club", sharing booth with Juan Diaz (Pacha Ibiza), and festivals like the Lleida Groove Parade, Midnight Group and White & Groove, held at the legendary Cotton Club (Lleida), which were a success as far as attendance and the amazing quality of the music played, and at which he performed alongside the great Uner .
Besides being champion of the international "Bedroom Competiton 2012" run by the Ibiza DJ Awards, he was also runner-up at the international " 2012 DJ Contest" organized by the famous "Blue Marlin Ibiza" Beach Club, national finalist at the European "Burn Studios Residency 2012" competition and semifinalist in the national "Vicious DJ contest 2012 ", organized by Vicious Magazine, the prestigious electronic music magazine, and Hotel W (Barcelona).
