The Berlin based artist Dompe hits hard with his first release on SNOE. „Take A Rest“ makes you want to do anything but, with it’s tooly groove and positive vibe coming together through a bouncy baseline and driving percussions. „Right Away“ keeps the vibe but upps the stakes through adding elements of vocals and a catchy synth, giving the whole a more funky feeling. „Real Deal“ is showcasing the completeness of this EP and serves you a light and bouncy track perfect to bring the mood up on the dancefloor. Let’s do this!

The Berlin based artist Dompe hits hard with his first release on SNOE. We asked him a few questions and told us some of his highlights this summer, how much time he spends in the studio, and his favourite Norwegian word ;)

1) Hei hei Dompe, how was your summer? Any highlights?

My summer was very cool with many highlights: some nice open air parties, many great club gigs, but THE highlight was definitely my first India-tour. In India there was not only excellent food, but the people also really know how to party to electronic music ;) The trip was a really nice experience.

2) How would you describe your EP on SNOE?

I would say that the release is very groovy and functional. For me it is important that the tracks work well in the club. My tracks are made for this. I tested them over and over, and I always got good great reactions from the dancefloor.

3 How much time do you spend in the studio?

I have my studio in my apartment and am very grateful for my tolerant neighbors ;) I try to spend as much time as possible there. At the moment I have a big urge to make a lot of music, so I often spend 5 days a week there.

4) What is your favourite toy for making music?

I don’t have a special toy, but in general I love working with Cubase.

5) With whom would you like to spend time in the studio?

There are a few candidates, but my first choice as a studio partner for a day would be Daniel Steinberg. I am really fascinated by his music and am a big fan of him.

6) If you could describe yourself with one word, what would it be?

Restless.

What is your favourite Norwegian word?

As I don’t know many Norwegian words my favourite at the moment is SNOE ;)
