This one starts off a little slower with the monster hit from Gareth Emery and Standerwick in Saving Light. This one starts off a little slower with the monster hit from Gareth Emery and Standerwick in Saving Light. Such a great tune that proved that trance could stand at the top in the overall Beatport charts. Incredible. That said, this song is just a warm-up for this mix and by the third track we're full-on into 138 and we don't look back.

After we hit 138 territory is a little bit of psy which is like an explosion in a Vini Vici factory. Great fun! On the uplifting side, it's tracks and mixes from Sean Tyas, ReOrder, Bryan Kearney, Solarstone, Talla 2XLC, Adam Ellis, Temple One and heaps more!

The benefit of finding complimentary tracks is also a huge plus, so if you like more mainstream things like Massive Attack and London Grammar then you're in luck!

I just had to kick it off with my own mashup/blendup of the BT & Paul van Dyk classic Flaming June...such an amazing track that stands the test of time.

Mixing both of these has been fun and I've learned a fair bit about these different genres...but at some stage I needed to come back to what I feel at home with. Trance is always what I'll feel, and it's always what I'll call 'my sound'.

Okay, okay...so this isn't 'pure trance'. Not by a long shot, but I was playing with these tracks and I thought I'd have a bit of fun and mix 'em up before getting RIGHT back into it. There are a few guilty pleasures in here, including a double shot of Katy Perry as well as some Kaskade, Eric Prydz, HELENA and Protoculture. A fun mix and very American Festival EDM. This is a TOTAL departure for me but I've found some tunes in this deep/tech/prog house mix that I really love. I'm not normally a deep house DJ (the fact that I've included both deadmau5 AND DJ Sneak tracks here is proof of that :P ) but it's a genre for which I've gained a huge respect.
