Our goal, was to create once again a unique physical project to deliver you this unconventional album by the french producer 2methyl. As we heard on his first full album Layer 8, he is definitely an example of creativity.

Etched assembled some complex and detailed sound design structures, around many different styles. His futuristic dark drum n’bass and IDM identity, reaches for Agnost1k some advanced aspects of his Art.

This album delivers a fine experimental and industrial way of playing with all the muscial environnements of this concept. The listeners will appreciate a high level of production which includes some deep field recordings and a slight touch of modular synthesis. For those who know 2methyl on stage, you will also recognise the impressive percussion’s work directly recorded by the drummer Youlé.

We also want to draw the attention on various tracks like « Cross » which includes a featuring with Kdeath from the US Hip Hop band, Moodie Black. Germanium with it's jazzy rhythm or the tecknoid track « tech2 » finished the global creative process of this golden etched concept.

an intriguing intro carried by suspenseful electronics and alienated voices is only the prelude to a breathtaking sonic surplus of puissant bass lines, sharp guitar riffs, pushing beats and majestic synths. in continuous progression of intensity, quiet meditative parts turn into intoxicating outbursts of power and volume. basic elements of advanced experimental electronics, industrial, post- and prog rock are alchemically interlocked in a most perfect way which is näo's unquestioned trademark.

on the remixes of tracks previously released on 'III', three french projects deliver fresh components while keeping näo's specific sound characteristics: dub-based drums and predominant bass on matkalybrid's version of 'evol', dead hippies turning 'barnsa' into a fast synth-oriented heavy electro rock tune almost doubling the original track's speed, and a pounding idm interpretation of 'kitab' by 2methyl (aka 2methylbulbe1ol).
